A former primary school teacher complained to the Ombudsman Commission that she was not paid her outstanding salaries for services rendered after resigning from her teaching position.
In January 2021, prior to her resignation, the former teacher was attached to a teaching position at Raluana Primary School in Kokopo District. The matter was referred to East New Britain Provincial Education Division where the Commission engaged in several case conference dialogues with the relevant officers.
After the Commission’s intervention, the East New Britain Provincial Education Division took action and paid the former teacher a total of K21, 750.59.
