Complainant Receives Property Title After A 22-Year Delay Through The Commission’s Intervention

A complainant lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman Commission on 8 April 2022 regarding a prolonged delay in the processing of the title to his property located in Lae, Morobe Province. He advised that all necessary documents had been submitted to the responsible agency since 2006 but no action was taken to issue the title.

The Ombudsman Commission registered the complaint and pursued the matter with the relevant authorities. Following continued intervention by the Commission, the complainant was finally issued the title to the property on 28 November 2024.

On 10 December 2024, the complainant wrote to the Ombudsman Commission expressing his appreciation for the Commission’s assistance, noting that after 22 years of waiting, he had finally received the official title to his property.
