The Ombudsman Commission in one of its trips, travelled to a District in Momase Region and whilst conducting Commission business, noted that patients seeking medical treatment at the District’s Level 3 Health Centre have no proper beds or Wards to rest whilst waiting for the health Officials to attend to them.
After returning from the Commission’s business in that particular District, the Ombudsman Commission initiated an investigation into the matter against that particular District regarding the alleged lack of proper beds for patients in the District’s Health facility on 25 January 2024. The Commission pursued the matter with the District Development Authority and the Provincial Health Authority.
The Commission, in its recent visit to that particular District, noted that the District’s Level 3 Health Centre has been refurbished and the patients now have proper wards to rest and wait for the health officials to treat them.
