Teacher paid for improper suspension

More than K22, 000 was paid to a teacher who alleged improper suspension by the Central Provincial Administration and the Central Provincial Education Division (CPED) and Central Provincial Education Board (CPEB) after the Ombudsman Commission’s enquiry into the matter.

The teacher’s payment was inclusive of his salary loss for the length of his suspension and recreational leave entitlements.

The Commission’s enquiry also resulted in the CPEB uplifting the Complainant’s suspension and reinstating him back on the payroll.
