A West Kikori LLG women’s representative in Gulf Province has lodged a complaint to the Ombudsman Commission on the alleged delay and non-payment of monthly allowance by the Gulf Provincial Administration.
The Ombudsman Commission commenced its full investigation into the Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs and Gulf Provincial Administration on 9th August 2021. Enquiries and feedback were made with the Department of Provincial and Local Level Government and Gulf Provincial Administration
The West Kikori LLG responsible informed the Commission that the women representative had been formally sworn in as an elected member hence she was paid her unpaid monthly allowance of K6,300.00 for a period of 15 months, from October 2019 to November 2020.
The complainant was very happy and acknowledged the work of the Commission.
